Regular CA
is a great adhesive but is limited to service at lower temperatures - at temperatures above around 180-190F it will break down, soften, and melt.  The
High-Temp
(HT) formula
can be used on items that will be in service up to 275F. Its also perfect for items that go through large temperature changes.
E
xample is
: high-power loudspeaker construction. The HT product handles just like regular CA - same look, strength and excellent performance.  Provides better high-temp performance than black CA. Use for repairs, structural bonding, product assembly, etc. on hard materials. (The HT CA can be used with hard plastics, but note that plastic will melt at higher temps!)
What kind of CA glue do you need?
The thicker the viscosity of the glue, the more slowly it dries and the better it is at gap-filling.  The
Thin HT
will wick into cracks and is meant for item that fit together very tightly (no gap).
The
Medium HT
CA is a great all-purpose glue for repairs and construction. Use medium for items that fit together fairly well (small gaps).
Use the
Thick HT
CA for larger gaps and for rough or porous items - thick CA takes longer to dry (allows time for adjustment).
The 1oz and 2oz glue bottles come with a screw-on "Pin-in-cap" bottle top which helps stop clogs and lengthen the shelf life. The 4oz and 8oz bottles have "Yorker" tips which are designed for applying larger amounts, or for refilling the smaller bottles.
NOTE: CA glue products often work best when used with an activator - which I sell separately in this case.  The activator (also called "kicker" or "accelerator") isn't required but is
very useful
because it makes the glue dry on command. The activator also acts as a cleaner and surface prep agent for CA.  Please see my store - you can add more items to your shopping cart.
